1. Insufficient Brake Fluid

4. Malfunction in the ABS Control Unit or Pump
The ABS hydraulic control unit or the ABS pump controls the brakes using an electronic and a mechanical part. As the wheels lock after braking at high speeds, the ABS sensors on the wheels send data to the control unit.
